Rachel Rife, LPN.
Licensed Practical Nurse and permanent makeup artist in Petoskey, Michigan. Rachel works with clients from Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Bay View, Boyne City and Gaylord.

From bedside to brow chair.
Rachel spent fifteen years as a nurse before opening Modern Microblading & More. Permanent makeup felt like a natural next step.
Nursing taught her sterile technique, steady hands and how to really listen to what a patient needs. Those turned out to be the same skills that make for good permanent makeup.
She opened the Petoskey studio in 2020. Appointments feel closer to a visit with a provider you trust than a quick beauty service, with long consults, careful notes and no rushing.
She lives in Northern Michigan with her husband, two children and two French Bulldogs.
Why a nurse does this differently.
Sterile technique.
Single-use needles and blades, gloves changed at every step, and a treatment area cleaned the way a clinic would clean it.
A health screen every time.
Rachel reviews your health history and medications before every appointment, including touch-ups and color refreshes, because things change.
Honest advice.
If a service is not right for you, or not right yet, she will tell you and explain why. Sometimes the best answer is to wait.

In Rachel's words
I want you to leave looking rested and polished, like yourself on a really good day. Nobody should be able to tell you've had something done.
